Competition Standards
To keep the Competition fun and fair for everyone, all players and referees must follow these standards accordingly based on their role in the competition.
In addition to these standards, the TankTrouble Standards must be followed throughout the Online Chat and the Forum at all times.
- All participants must have at least 3 months of active communication in the TankTrouble Community, and Players must have at least 5000 wins to sign up and compete.
- Every match is to be officiated by a designated Referee who must apply to referee through the Sign Up form.
-
Referees will keep score in chat during matches (excluding Gold Rush), and will keep 2 tanks signed in to prevent public spectators from entering and interfering with the match.
Do not leave the match unless the Referee grants you permission to do so.
- Players must keep their chat open during their match to comply with Referee instructions.
- The chat can be dragged and resized; participants are expected to customize their experience prior to the match.
- Final match scores, eliminations, and Referee rotations must be reported by the match Referee(s) on the TTOC Forum Thread as soon as possible. Suspected rule violations should be reported to the Crew with as much detail as possible.
- Matches will be organized by the TTOC Crew for all Players and Referees based on their availability, and will be posted in UTC time. You are responsible for the time zone conversion. Participants with incorrect availability risk replacement. Check your time zone.
- Players and Referees must confirm or cancel their match no later than 12 hours before their match time. Players and Referees are required to show up to their match if they did not confirm nor cancel their match. If they do not show, they will be removed and will no longer be allowed to participate in the current TTOC season.
-
If the Referee does not show up or must leave during the match, Players may:
- Continue the match on their own, with an extra tank signed in by each player. The match begins when extra tanks are destroyed. The final score must be confirmed by both Players in the Match thread.
- Find another eligible Referee to take over.
- If a Player or Referee is absent for more than 10 total minutes anytime during their match, they will be removed, and will no longer be allowed to participate in the current TTOC season. If a participant leaves the maze, they must rejoin the original maze. New maze creation is at the discretion of the Referee.
-
The server listed for each match is the server for the entire match. This is also called the meetup server.
- Players may only change the server if "no matching servers" or "split server allowed" is listed alongside the server name. To change the match server, both Players must agree and notify the Referee(s) during the meetup. These new servers must be fair in server ms.
-
Alternatively, Players may opt for a "double set" match. The match is played twice, once in each of the Players' best servers.
Note the total duration of such a match is at least double the expected match time, which varies in gamemodes and player skill.
Please be aware of your availability limitations.
For this option, Players must notify the Crew and be approved.
- Complaints about uncontrollable factors such as lag will not be tolerated. Match interference and poor sportsmanship is strictly prohibited.
- If a gamemode rule is broken during the match, the Player will receive a strike. After three strikes, each infraction will result in a point for the opponent. If an infraction is severe enough, the round ends immediately, the opponent will get a point (instead of a strike), and the match continues next round (unless they win).
- Participants suspected of sharing accounts or entering more than once with alternate accounts will not be allowed to participate in TTOC. Only one tank per person, per season.
- Prizes and accessories may not be traded for alternatives or transferred to other accounts. Removal from TTOC will result in forfeiting all prizes and accessories earned.
- The TankTrouble Standards apply at all times, and the Gamemode-specific Rules apply during relevant matches, for both Players and Referees. Violations of any of these standards or rules will result in appropriate consequences, at the discretion of the TTOC Crew.
